The vendor-independent Smart Charging Solution from FLEXeCHARGE consists of two components. The Gateway Connect in the center acts as the local extension of the FLEXeCHARGE Platform which offers a transparent view into the charging infrastructure and additional services. The purpose of the local Gateway is to integrate data from external power meters (e.g. to measure the power consumption of the building) and/or data from solar inverters, and battery storage systems. Further, the Gateway integrates with all AC and DC charging stations and performs the load management locally which make the system more robust against temporally internet connection outages.
The FLEXeCHARGEenables our users to check the charging infrastructure’s performance remotely, prevent break-downs and change settings. The transparent visualization of the charging performance not only increases the trust of the user in the load management system but also in the entire charging infrastructure.
Furthermore, the platform provides a central tool for monitoring and optimizing the utilization of local energy resources of a charging infrastructure. You can opt for the smart charging module that allows you to add photovoltaic production forecast, dynamic tariffs, access our automatic scheduling function and more.
The open platform architecture is based on the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) to offer our smart charging solutions independent of specific charging hardware. The standard allows for the most options to manage a charging infrastructure intelligently and reliably.

The local Gateway Connect functions as the central processing hub for the load management. Each charging station communicates wiht the Gateway to achieve the desired load management. The Gateway also serves as the hub for integrating local energy resources (inverter of a local photovoltaic (PV), Battery systems, power meters, etc.).
Advantages of the Gateway
1. Reliable: Local processing uni
2. Scalable: Up to 255 connected charging points
3. Flexible: charging station independent
