Setting up the FLEXeCHARGE Platform (🔗 Link) is straight forwared. To get started you'll need:
Instruction | |
---|---|
1. Click link from the email or above and you’ll be forwarded to the portal. Enter the login information from the email. If you do not have the login information please contact your FLEXeCHARGE representative. |
|
2. On first login you will need to create a new password for your security. You'll have to relogin in with your new password and you will be forwarded to the homepage of the Smart Charging Platform | |
3. At this stage no load management is setup. We will first connect charging stations and then continue with setup of the load management. Click "infrastructures" in the left colum. The connected gateway should be visible. In this example called "demo". ✅ Ready to connect your charging stations. |
|
4. Important: During the physical installation the charing stations were connected to the same network as the gateway. However the chargepoiunts must also connect to the Gateways ocpp-proxy. In order to do that the OCPP URL setting of the charger has to be changed in the configuration interface of each charging station. The URL is made up of the Gateways IP followed by a set string: ws://"IP-GATEWAY":9000, in this example the website for the charging stations would be ws://192.168.1.1:9000. This will connect the charging stations to the OCCP proxy and route communication through the Gateway allowing you to monitor, configure, reboot, etc, the charging stations through the platform. In this example the charger named "MyChargingStation-0" has been connected. |
|
5. Charging stations are now connected to the ocpp-proxy and have to be configured for connection to a CPMS of your choice. Navigate to the charging stations tab click the settings icon (the three sliders) next to each charging station. | |
6. The configuration tab of the charging station will open. Name: Predefined, not editable Description: Add a short description for infrastructure Backend: Select your backend from the Dropdown list. If your backend is not in the list, please contact your FLEXeCHARGE representative. Note that this means you can set different backends for different charging stations if required. Backend System Identity: The Identity used by your CPMS to identify your charger. Backend System Password: The password to the Identity used by your CPMS. Number of charge points: The number of chargepoints per charging station Set the maximum current rating per charge point in the “Current (L1, L2, L3)" field. Optionally you can enter a description for each charge point for example “right” and “left” Click save Once you click save, the system will send a request for restarting the charger. |
|
7. After the charger has rebooted check the indicator of the charging station shows the connection status of the charger to the ocpp-proxy and the connection status of the ocpp-proxy to the CPMS. | |
Repeat step 6-7 for all connected charging stations to set them up properly.
You are now ready to setup load management for the connected infrastructre. The next guide next guide will walk you through setting up clusters and their load management.
